Choosing to begin counselling is a meaningful step, and one that can bring up uncertainty or feel overwhelming at times. My hope is that the work we do together is grounded in safety and trust, and that it moves at a pace that feels right for you. Healing can take time, and I believe that when we enter a space in which we feel safe, seen, heard, and supported, we already have much of what is needed to find the wellness we are seeking in our lives. I strive to create an atmosphere that is calm, supportive, and engaged—one where your experiences are welcomed without judgment. No life story is too much, or not enough. You are welcome to come exactly as you are.
My practice is guided by a range of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Needs Acquisition and Behaviour Change. All of the work we do is grounded in trauma-informed and client-centred care. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and aim to make space for the spiritual, cultural, and relational parts of your life.
I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree and offer counselling to individuals aged 12 and up. I support people navigating a wide range of concerns, including:
- Anxiety and depression
- Grief and loss
- Relationship and family conflict
- Substance use concerns
- Neurodivergence
- Identity-related questions and life transitions
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our cats, drinking good coffee, cycling, trail running, freediving, and making music. Living on Vancouver Island, I value the grounding that comes from time spent outdoors and moments of slowing down.
