I’m especially passionate about helping people feel less alone in
their struggles, and more connected to themselves and others. I work
with teens (14+), adults, and partners in relationships who are
dealing with anxiety, the impacts of trauma, self-doubt, questions of
identity, and relationship challenges, as well as those facing life
transitions like caregiving, loss, or family strain. Many who come to
me are doing their best to navigate the tension between
self-protection and growth, whether within themselves or in their
significant relationships.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in the belief
that healing and growth happen when it becomes safe enough to take a
risk. I draw from my training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic
Psychotherapy (AEDP), EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness and
self-compassion approaches, and the Developmental Model of Couples
Therapy.
Choosing to work with a counsellor takes courage. I will take time to
understand what matters most to you, not just as an individual, but as
someone shaped by your relationships, family, culture, and community.
I see therapy as a place of new awareness and experience, and as a
space to build tools for navigating life, long after our work together
ends.
